Familias Latinas is a bi-monthly publication
published entirely in Spanish. Its focus
is on family issues, education and awareness.
The United States has seen an unprecedented
influx of immigrants from Latin-American
countries to whom the rest of our society in
not properly connected.
Our mission is to serve as a bridge between
cultures and to promote the insertion of that
minority in the mainstream, while preserving the
cultural heritage that these immigrants have
brought to our great nation.
We are in our seventh year of continuous
publication. We very much appreciate the
continuous support form the HSID, the City of
Houston, the participating schools, our
sponsors, our great team of contributors, and
above, all, our readers. The team of
editors and writers contribute to this project
without any monetary compensation from neither
this publication, Familias Latinas, nor form the
sponsors or announcers.
Familias Latinas receives
collaborations from many professionals, of
recognized public and private organizations.
